To a certain degree Romeo and Juliet is an accurate comparison to Mind Readers. There are many similarities between the two stories. For example how both Cameron and Lewis had their parents killed fighting for the same cause. This can be compared to how Romeo and Juliet had family members die due to fighting for something they both believed in. However the most obvious similarity that can be seen is that Romeo and Juliet is a famous love story and there appears to be something similar between Lewis and Cameron. The deeper you look into the stories, the more similarities you will find.

Romeo and Juliet is a famous love story written by shakespeare. In this tragic tale, two young people fall in love. However, this love is banned due to the feud going on between their families. Both Romeo and Juliet fight for what they believe in and never give up no matter what difficulties are thrown their way. In the end, the two star-crossed lovers both end up committing suicide. To a certain extent, the tale of Romeo and Juliet can be an accurate comparison to Mind Readers. Lewis and Cameron can represent the two in love. Cameron and Lewis never give up no matter what barricades may get in the way. They both have strong beliefs and fight for what is right. This is somewhat similar to Romeo and Juliet's situation. Neither Lewis or Cameron went to the extreme of committing suicide, however, they both lost their parents at a young age. This can be compared to how Romeo and Juliet felt so strongly about a certain cause that they lost family members, as well as each other along the way. All in all, Romeo and Juliet was a bit more extreme than Mind Readers but, in a way, the two stories can be accurately compared to a certain extent.

I personally do not believe that to say the story between Lewis and Cameron can accurately be compared to that of Romeo and Juliet. The most and really the only thing even linking the two pairs is the fact that they are both young boy and girl together who think that they are "meant to be". When Cameron says it's almost like a weird retelling of the tale I honestly have to question how well she actually knows the tale. I mean yes, they're both 'love' stories but to say that Cameron and Lewis are a retelling of the tale is like calling Cinderella or Snow White a weird retelling of Romeo and Juliet. Not only that there is no one thing and no one person that are hitting Cameron and Lewis on the wrist and scolding them that they can't be together. Sure Aaron was hesitant over the idea of them becoming close but even that was to be explained as more of a loving fatherly caution. This comparison is completely absurd and very very unlike Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo and Juliet is a tale of a family feud that has gone on for generations, and a pair of ignorant lovers who marry after the first day they met. Romeo is a Montague and Juliet is a Capulet, both of the separate feuding families. Romeo thinks he’s in love with another girl, until he lays eyes on Juliet for around an entire minute (surely enough time to decide who you want to be with for your entire life). He then sneaks into the Capulet garden outside their house, and watches Juliet in her nightgown as she is out on her balcony, asking why she had to love Romeo when they think they can’t be together. He then speaks to her, and she, in order to make sure he really loves her, goads him into marrying her the next day. He agrees, they marry in secret, when the prince’s son was supposed to marry Juliet. Juliet can’t say no because the other marriage is secret, and she instead gets the friar’s help to fake her death. Romeo did not get the message sent telling him it was fake, and instead commits suicide at her tomb after killing the prince’s son. She wakes up, and commits suicide as well. Her mother finds out, and dies of grief.
I think it is only accurate in that Lewis and Cameron were attracted to each other. Though it’s not accurate because there is no feud between families and no reason why they can’t be together. Mind Readers is also different in that the lovers are not completely stupid for the purpose of seeing those around them, and they themselves, die. Lastly, no one around them died because of their actions, at least not at the time Cameron makes the “comparison”.

The story of Romeo and Juliet is a well known story written by Shakespeare. In a nutshell, Romeo and Juliet come from two different families that hate each other. The two meet and fall in love, but have to keep their relationship silent for family reasons. They go through anything to be with each other. In the end they both commit suicide.
Honestly, Cameron and Lewis cannot completely compare to the love story of Romeo and Juliet. They don't exactly go through anything to be with each other like the other two love birds. Lewis sticks to his mission and basically thinks that that is more important than her. Also, Lewis and Cameron never died or committed suicide. In the end, Romeo and Juliet were way more dedicated than Lewis and Cameron.

For my opinion, this situation in Mind Readers can be an accurate comparison to the story of Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet are born in the two different families that banned each other by the feud. Romeo and Juliet are in loved, even though they knew that their love won't be easy, they would still be by each other's sides, and went through every obstacles together, just like Lewis and Cameron in the Mind Readers. Lewis and Cameron are come from two different families and they have lost their parents. They understand each other's feelings. These two stories are somewhat similar about the relationship between the two lovers. Other than that, they are totally different. Lewis and Cameron are never committed suicide like Romeo and Juliet did. The story of Romeo and Juliet are more extreme than the Mind Readers.

  8. Mind readers is a good comparison to Romeo and juliet written by Shakespeare. Both Cameron and lewis lost their parents and how Romeo and juliet lost their family as well compared really well. Cameron was always stick to the plan while romeo was stick to the plan to get juliet. Both Cameron and lewis understood each pther pretty well and Romeo and Juliet knew each others feeling too even though they only met for a little. In Romeo and Juliet People died because of their action and Lewis and Cameron did not get anyone killed because they were careful about their actions. Most definitely Lewis nor Cameron did not even think of going to far and commit suicide like Romeo and Juliet did. So in two ways Romeo and Juliet are a good and not so good of an example for Mind Readers.

I think that Cameron and Lewis could be similar to Romeo and Juliet, and in some ways are the reverse of them. In Romeo and Juliet, they both fall in love and eventually commit suicide, leaving their families childless. In the Mind Readers, Cameron and Lewis fall in love, but in reverse of Romeo and Juliet, their families are dead. In Romeo and Juliet, they were on opposite sides of the conflict going on. In the Mind Readers, Cameron isn't on a side and Lewis is. This is not an accurate comparison. Another way that it isn't an accurate comparison is that Juliet was going to have to marry another person while Cameron doesn't have to marry anyone. I think that while there are some similarities, the comparison doesn't ultimately hold water.

I believe that the story of Romeo and Juliet is comparable to Cameron's situation. The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a story about two young people who fell in love. This young couple came from two different families, who happened to be in a large feud. Romeo and Juliet are in love, but they can't let anyone know or else they feared that there would be severe consequences. Eventually because of their immature choices, the couple end up dead together. Cameron and Lewis like each other, and they come from different families. The other part in their situation that isn't like Romeo and Juliet, is that their families are both dead instead of them. So Cameron explains that their situation is like Romeo and Juliet's, but instead of them dying, it was their parents. I think this makes sense and it can be related to The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo and Juliet is a love story where they would rather die then live without each other and that is exactly what they did. This story can be similar in the way that there is a death but, its not them its there families. Cameron and Lewis like each other and believe they should be together and they would fight for there relationship. Yet, there was not as much of fight that they could not be together. There was some hesitation but, nothing to the extent of Romeo and Juliet. Overall I would say this should be more compared to a fairytale then Romeo and Juliet. It is not what I would compare it to and I do not think it is accurate.

This situation in The Mind Readers is somewhat of an accurate comparison to Romeo and Juliet. Though I haven't thought of that comparison until Cameron mentioned it, I suppose you can really find similarities between any two stories. The Mind Readers is similar to Romeo and Juliet in the way that the two main characters are in love and hope to keep that a secret as much as they can. Romeo and Juliet don't want anybody to know of their love because of the disapproval from their families. As stated in the quote, the two stories are similar due to the death of Cameron's and Lewis' parents as being opposite to Juliet's and Romeo's deaths with the survival of their parents. Though different, the two stories have present but blunt similarities.

Cameron and Lewis are similar in a way to Romeo and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet, both their families feud causing the couple to split up. In the end both commit suicide and leave both families without a child. In Mind Readers, Cameron and Lewis fall in love, but their families are dead. In Romeo and Juliet, they are both have plans to get married. In Mind Readers Cameron and Lewis do not have to get married. Therefore, there are some similarities, but is not very accurate.

I don't feel like Romeo and Juliet is an accurate comparison of Mind Readers, sure it has some similarities such as their families fighting and both couples being in love. I just think Romeo and Juliet is far more drastic than this novel. Yes, some similarities are there, but not enough for it to be called an accurate comparison. In both stories the couples fight for their relationship, but in Romeo and Juliet they'd rather die than be without each other. With Cameron and Lewis, I don't think the connection is quite as strong. Therefore not making Romeo and Juliet an accurate comparison.

I don't really remember much of the plot of Romeo and Juliet. However, I do know that they were star-crossed "lovers" who ended up dying for their "love" (which was only physical attraction), while the rest of their families lived. This situation in Mind Readers isn't an accurate comparison to Romeo and Juliet. Why not? Well, like Cameron said herself, it is a "some sort of weird retelling". Romeo and Juliet were star-crossed "lovers"/lovers whose liking of each other is disapproved or oppressed. Cameron and her "love" (also just first glance physical attraction) for Lewis isn't disapproved of or oppressed by anyone. The only real similarities in the comparison is that everyone has had a family member die and all think that they are truly in love.

I think that this could possibly be a weird retelling of Romeo and Juliet due to the few similarities. Some of the similarities I see are with Cameron. Cameron meets Lewis and falls in love with him just as Romeo did with Juliet. Cameron had to go against her grandma to go with Lewis. Romeo and Juliet also went against their families when they got married to each other. That is why I think it is possible to compare the story of Romeo and Juliet to "Mind Readers".
